Prairie Oil & Gas Hires Chief Officer of Operations and Finance

Jarod CannicottNORMAN, OKLA. – Prairie Oil & Gas recently added Chief Officer of Operations and Finance Jarod Cannicott to its team to oversee the company’s business development and financial growth.

“Cannicott is one of eight new team members this year,” said Philip Hobbs, Prairie Oil & Gas founder. “His experience brings a new business dynamic to our team that will help our company grow smarter as we grow bigger.”

Prior to joining Prairie, Cannicott built energy trading and risk management tools for a Norman-based software company that focused on power, natural gas and emissions. In addition to the software product, Cannicott and his team consulted on improving operations and profitability.

Cannicott grew up in Norman and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He started his engineering career in 2004 working in a research and development lab for Hewlett-Packard. In 2009, Cannicott received his Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.

Cannicott lives in Norman and enjoys spending time with his family, OU football, reading and playing golf.
